I try to blockout thoughts of you
Will I always be broken
She was my only token
To that of life which is always spoken.
I'm trying hard to resist
Something is telling me to persist
I want to show her my interest.
My heart
Is what she has harnessed.
All you do is play with me,
you play with my mind
My mind is what she plays with.
This is just another kind.

Wow! A friend once told me, "you can't mess with his mind and play with him like you're a cat batting at a kitty toy" in regards to this one guy I fell hard for. It was a complicated situation but in the end he became one of my best friends, but it would never work out as a "relationship" - I never really understood what she meant by that til I read your poem...
Jeez I feel bad now lol
