It doesn't to me at all. (I just looked up the Coldplay song on youtube & heard it.) I'm sorry, I can't stand Coldplay at all. You Make Me Smile is one of my favorites, though. I love it |

I threw that out there months ago on another thread, but the thread moved on. Interesting to hear the similarity and wondering if there was intention there when it was written.

Picking up the pieces sounds a little bit like Tom Mcrae's A day like today, well at 1m 55 secs it does a little !! _________________ Your father tells you to try to be responsible.

"Dracula From Houston" by the Butthole Surfers reminds me of "Houston's Finest Day" by Blue October. Both songs also remind me of "Beast of Burden" by The Rolling Stones.
Listen to "Dracula From Houston" here

'Blue Skies' completely reminds me of Bill Murray's Star Wars song.
'Blue skies, calling on blue skies' = 'Star Wars, nothing but Star Wars'
Can't ever seem to disassociate them |

I thought the same thing about Sound of Pulling Heaven Down. (The way that Justin sings "Somewhere" vs. the way Bill Murray sings "Star Wars") |

The chord progression of live versions of Blue Sunshine remind me of Not For You and Off He Goes by Pearl Jam.

The intro to "Been Down" reminds of Lou Reed's "Take a Walk on the Wildside." A little, huh? _________________ There's no place on earth as far away as yesterday~ |

For some odd reason the song, Sweet and somber pigeon wings, reminds me of the band Deadsy, which I happen to like just as much as Blue October. _________________
