Hi Christina,
I can't wait to see your pictures. How about a recap, did you get to meet Justin etc...
So, did you need to pass KOP on the way? After I thought it would have been to cool to meet you and you could have come for dinner on the way home. It's chinese new year so I had an excuse to order out. You would have had to put up with the kiddos running around, but I would have loved to meet you and see your pics!
So glad you had a nice time. I have to be in HDG the first week in March. Actually, I think we are spending the weekend at a friends house in Perryville. Any suggestions on some casual places to eat crabs, hang out and listen to music? we like casual nothing fancy.
Thanks _________________ Lisa |

There was only about 20 people total very, very intimate. Justin did 3 songs and then Q and A and pictures and autographs.
Very very cool! _________________

OK, so no pics or video of the Wilkes Barre show to post; that has already been done on another thread, and many of you probably heard the audio of the event.
We all know he is a genius writer and great vocalist - trust me even without the benefit of amplification his voice can rock an entire room, jeebus, what a voice - but I just want to share the experience of meeting Justin. First of all the man is funny - quick witted and downright hilarious. Second, and most importantly, he is one of the most polite and pleasant people I've ever met. Hard to believe someone that has so many fans can be so humble. Upon coming up to him after the performance he met everyone with a freindly hand shake and an introduction, and a big hug if you were so inclined.
After he introduced himself to me I introduced myself to him. He told me I looked familiar (we'd never met), and my response was that if he'd seen me before it had to have been at the DC show in Sep. (we were up front). I don't know, but if the man can remember individual faces in the crowd at all the shows he does than he has a photographic memory (or maybe I just stand out - maybe that's not a good thing ) I showed him a couple photos I had developed from the DC show and he took the time to look at them and comment. He remembered calling out the disrespectful kid who was seated directly behind me (maybe that's why I seemed familiar to him) and we had a laugh about it (He said he "was ready to beat his **s ). Justin took the time to sign some of my photos, and he would've probably signed them all if the Universal rep hadn't told him to hurry up. We assembled for a group pic and Justin made a comment to the effect "to hold on while I get next to Rob (my name)." How on earth can you remember someones name that you just met when you've probably just met 40 other people?. If it were me just meeting random strangers I would forget their names by the time the handshake ended. I don't think I was special or anything; I witnessed him do this for everyone.
I don't mean to write a long post; I'm a person of few words, but I want to let those who've yet to meet the man know my experience of the man (for what that's worth). I've admired the man's work since the first time I heard a Blue October song; now, I admire the man too.
If you read this, Justin - "keep doing what you do." Much love to you my brother.

I know when I met him and the band last July they just seem so humble and honest. Great guys for sure. _________________ R.I.P. my little man

rob,
what a great story and experience! thank you for sharing it with us. you can't help but admire him...as you said he is funny and always polite. even when he seems to not be in the best of moods.

I wasn't in PA, I was at the NJ show...
I was surprised at how dead on his voice was in Princeton. I wonder if they do anything at all to it in the studio. It sounds EXACTLY the same.
It's funny that he said you looked familiar. When he walked into the room, he looked right at me (I was sitting in the last row) and kind of nodded at me. It was the same nod he'd given me and my sister in Philly (September) after he recognized us from the night before. We'd met him in November in Florida, and I had spoken to him one on one for a few minutes. I wondered if the nod last night was one of recognition.
When we went up to meet him, he said to my mom, "give me a hug!" she was clearly the oldest person there...it was so cute.
our pic with him came out blurry, and i was cut out of it completely, but he had a big smile in it. i'm not that upset. the only picture i need is up in my head.
anyways, i'm at work, i should probably go fold some laundry. maybe i'll post some more later.
overall, it was an AMAZING experience, and I'll never forget it. Ever.

I'm so happy we learned nothing from last years tour concerning show threads and there are at least five threads about a short set at a radio station in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Listen here you little demon...while you may have a valid point, the fact remains that there is not much to post about since they have been on break. Instead of opting to talk about cats and Prince and how they correlate to Blue October songs (much like a certain someone...ahemtreygarahem), we have decided to "expand" our threads. Now, back to hell demon, back to hell!
Edited to say: treygar may be the nicest guy on earth...but he's still a little demon. _________________ "I want to learn to walk with others as an equal
